Obverse description Central field displays the arms of Regensburg — two crossed episcopal keys — enclosed within a laurel wreath, with the date 1619 divided on either side of the keys. Surrounding the central motif is a broad border of fourteen heraldic shields representing the estates and noble families associated with the city, arranged in a ring around the periphery. A large imperial crown surmounts the composition at the top. The outer legend, partially legible, runs around the border and incorporates abbreviated territorial titles. The execution is characteristic of early seventeenth-century German hammered coinage, with bold relief and carefully detailed heraldic imagery.
