| Additional information |
Poland's monetary reconstruction after 1918 required building a mint infrastructure almost from scratch — the new state inherited no functioning national mint and initially contracted production abroad. The 1923 trial strikes in bronze for the 2 Grosze denomination were part of the extensive pattern and essai program conducted as Polish authorities tested compositions, dies, and production methods before committing to full circulation runs. ParM#P-103.a distinguishes this specific bronze trial within a group of closely related experimental pieces struck in differing metals that year.
