| Obverse description | The entire field is occupied by a seven-line Latin commemorative inscription in large serif capital letters, arranged concentrically across the flan, reading: FRIDERICI CHRISTIANI / REG : POL : EL : SAX : PRINC : / ET / ANTONIÆ BAVARÆ / CONNUBIUM / MDCCXLVII. The inscription commemorates the marriage (connubium) of Friedrich Christian, Prince-Electoral of Saxony and King of Poland, to Maria Antonia of Bavaria in 1747. The coin is bordered by a fine dentilated rim encircling the entire obverse. |

Clouds are scattered throughout the field, and a stylized cityscape or architectural prospect appears in the lower exergue. The curved Latin legend SPEI PUBLICÆ (To Public Hope) arches along the upper border within a dentilated rim. |
