Obverse description Central field displays a shield bearing the Moldavian armorial device, consisting of an aurochs head with a star between the horns, rendered in a bold, archaic hammered style. The shield is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, around which a Gothic uncial legend runs along the periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hand-hammered medieval coinage. The overall design is deeply struck though the relief shows uneven metal flow typical of early 15th-century Moldavian minting practice. The obverse legend reads SMOLDAVIENS, referencing the Seal of Moldavia.

Reverse description The reverse presents a facing or slightly turned helmeted head motif, likely a stylized representation of a knight's helm with a crest, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding field carries the ruler's name legend in uncial Latin characters around the periphery. The strike is bold but irregular, with some weakness at the edges consistent with the variable alignment and irregular flan of this hammered issue. The design reflects the Gothic heraldic tradition prevalent in Eastern European principalities of the early 15th century. The reverse legend reads SALEXANDERV, identifying the issuing authority as Alexander the Good, voivode of Moldavia.
