Reverse description The Danish royal coat of arms, an elaborately quartered shield displaying lions, hearts, a ram, a bear, a lion on a field of stripes, and other dynastic charges, is presented at centre, surmounted by a royal crown with cross finial and flanked by a draped canopy. Two classical male supporters, each semi-draped and rendered in neoclassical style, stand to either side holding the mantle. The denomination legend 2 FR D'OR is divided by the crown at the top of the field, while the date and mint-master's initials F. 1838 F. appear in the lower exergual area beneath the shield.
