Gabrisnote is a private label operated by Slovak designer and engraver Matej Gabris, who produces limited-edition fantasy notes engraved in the intaglio tradition. These are not legal tender and have no issuing authority in the conventional sense — they exist as collector pieces, deliberately designed to showcase hand engraving at a standard that mainstream currency printing rarely commissions anymore. DAS Security Printing, based in Slovakia, handles production and incorporates at least a watermark, which places these above purely decorative novelty prints in terms of manufacturing.
The "versions A and B" distinction typically denotes a paper or color variant within the same print run — a common practice in this collector segment to encourage set completion.
