| Obverse description | The obverse features the iconic 'Semeuse' (the Sower), a draped female figure striding to the left, barefoot, scattering seeds with her outstretched right hand while carrying a satchel over her left arm. Radiating sunrays emanate from behind the figure across the field, evoking the dawn of the Republic.
