| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic legend arranged horizontally within a beaded inner border, reading the titles and name of the ruler Muhammad Al-Habib, Muddat Bey of Tunisia, the denomination in Arabic numerals, and the Islamic Hijri year. Two upright palm or olive branches flank the inscription symmetrically on either side, serving as decorative separators. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded circle and an outer toothed border. No effigy of the ruler is depicted, in accordance with Islamic artistic convention. The script is entirely in Arabic. |
