| Obverse description | The obverse features a purely epigraphic design in Arabic script, arranged in multiple horizontal lines across the central field and flanked on either side by upward-curving palm and olive branches. The legend identifies the ruler as Mohammed al-Nasir, Bey of Tunisia, and states the denomination of 2 Francs along with the Hijri year. The inscription is contained within a plain inner field, with the branches serving as the principal decorative elements. The whole is encircled by a finely toothed border. The design is characteristic of French Protectorate-era Tunisian coinage, combining traditional Islamic calligraphic convention with French colonial mint workmanship. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays an ornate central cartouche enclosed within an elaborate raised arabesque scrollwork frame of intertwining foliate and crescent motifs, surmounted and flanked by small five-pointed stars. Within the beaded inner circle, the legend reads TUNISIE / 2 / FRANCS / (year) in three lines, with the Paris mint mark 'A' below the date accompanied by the engraver's cornucopia and torch privy marks. The outer rim is defined by a uniform toothed border. The overall decorative composition reflects the Franco-Arabic aesthetic employed by the Monnaie de Paris for French Protectorate coinage of this period. |
