| Reverse description | The full achievement of the arms of the Principality of Monaco occupies the central field, depicting the lozengy shield of argent and gules supported by two armoured monks, each holding a sword, draped in mantling and standing upon a decorative plinth. A princely crown surmounts the shield, and a ribbon bearing the motto DEO JUVANTE is displayed below. The numeral 2 appears prominently on either side of the coat of arms, with the denomination legend 2 FRANCS inscribed below and the word ESSAI in the exergue. The design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
