Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of King Leopold II, rendered in high relief in the academic style characteristic of Thomas Vinçotte. The king's flowing beard and aged features are finely modelled, with the truncation of the bust falling near the lower rim. The Dutch-language circumferential legend reads LEOPOLD II KONING DER BELGEN, divided on either side of the effigy, with the engraver's signature TH. VINÇOTTE incused along the lower truncation. The field is unadorned, and the design is bounded by a fine denticulated border.
Obverse script Latin

Reverse description Central field displays the bold numeral '2' above the Dutch denomination legend FRANK and the date 1909, all enclosed within a symmetrical wreath composed of ivy and oak branches tied at the base. The wreath is naturalistically rendered with individual leaves and berries clearly delineated, and is bounded by a fine denticulated border consistent with the obverse. No mint mark or additional devices appear in the field.
