| Obverse description | Green letterpress note with a central guilloche underprint. The upper portion carries the issuer's title in a curved banner above the municipal coat of arms flanked by caduceus vignettes and the mottoes FORTITUDO MEA and CIVIUM FIDES. The denomination DEUX FRANCS is set in bold lettering across the centre, with two signatures above a circular red dry-stamp of the Chambre de Commerce d'Angoulême; the numeral 2 appears in all four corners, and the series indication 5ème SÉRIE is repeated in star-shaped cartouches at left and right. |

The heading DÉLIBÉRATION DU 11 AVRIL 1917 runs across the top above the cartouche. |
