| Obverse description | Central field of the brass inner disc features a detailed frontal view of the Romanian Athenaeum (Ateneul Român) in Bucharest, a landmark Neo-Classical concert hall surmounted by a prominent ribbed dome and flanked by a colonnaded portico. The date 2003 appears in the upper right of the inner disc, accompanied by a small mint mark below the building. The copper-nickel outer ring bears the multilingual trial inscription PRUEBA · TRIAL · ESSAI · PROBE arranged around the circumference, interspersed with small crown devices, with ROMÂNIA inscribed along the lower arc. |
