| Obverse description | The inner disc features the coat of arms of Samogitia: a bear rampant with a chain collar, set upon a crowned shield supported by an armoured knight at left (symbolising courage and patriotism) and a goddess holding an anchor at right (symbolising hope). Below the shield, a Latin legend PATRIA UNA (one fatherland) appears in the field. Encircling the composition within the inner disc are the inscriptions LIETUVA (Lithuania) and ŽEMAITIJA (Samogitia), together with the year of issue 2019 and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union flag. |
