The Netherlands Antilles never adopted the euro — this is a pattern strike, almost certainly produced by or for a private mint testing bimetallic planchet specifications rather than issued under any official monetary authority. The territory used the Netherlands Antillean guilder until its dissolution in 2010, when the islands were reorganized into separate constituent countries and special municipalities of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
