| Reverse description | The common reverse of the 2 Euro series, designed by Luc Luycx, features a large numeral '2' occupying the left portion of the nickel brass centre, with the denomination legend EURO inscribed horizontally across the right side. A stylised map of the European Union in dotted relief fills the right field of the centre, extending partially into the copper-nickel outer ring. The twelve stars of the European Union are arranged around the full circumference of the outer ring, with six stars appearing in the upper arc and the remaining distributed along the lower arc. The engraver's initials 'LL' appear within the central disc near the right edge. |
