| Reverse description | The standard European Union common reverse designed by Luc Luycx features a geographical map of Western Europe spanning both the inner core and outer ring on the right side of the coin, with the denomination 2 EURO superimposed in large numerals, the digit '2' set in the open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
