| Obverse description | The inner disc depicts a finely engraved bust of the Italian opera composer Giacomo Puccini in three-quarter view, facing slightly left, rendered in a naturalistic style with detailed treatment of his curly hair, moustache, and formal attire including a bow tie. The legend G. PUCCINI appears to the left of the portrait and SAN MARINO curves along the right inner field.
