| Obverse description | The inner disc of the obverse is dominated by an architectural composition commemorating the 550th anniversary of the birth of Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475–2025). The right portion of the field depicts a detailed relief of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, showcasing Michelangelo's iconic dome flanked by subsidiary cupolas and the colonnade with statuary figures along the roofline. The lower portion of the inner disc features an architectural plan or geometric rendering of the basilica's facade, rendered in a schematic, drafting-style design.
