| Obverse description | The nickel-brass centre features a stylised composition commemorating the 20th anniversary of Cyprus's accession to the European Union. At centre-left, a map outline of Cyprus is depicted in the field, overlaid with vertical and horizontal lines evoking the EU flag's symbolism and the interconnection of member states. The anniversary dates '2004-2024' appear in the lower field. A circular legend in Greek script runs along the upper and lower periphery of the inner disc, reading the full name of the issuing state. The outer copper-nickel ring is adorned with the twelve stars of the European Union. |
