| Reverse description | The standard euro area reverse, designed by Luc Luycx, depicts a geographic map of Western Europe spanning both the inner core and the outer ring on the right side of the coin. The denomination '2 EURO' is superimposed over the map, with the large numeral '2' positioned in the open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
