Obverse description The bimetallic inner disc depicts the iconic Bremen Town Hall (Rathaus) in architectural elevation, with the legendary Roland statue prominently displayed in the foreground at centre. The inscription BREMEN appears beneath the Town Hall to the right of the statue, while the issuing country initial D is positioned at the top of the outer ring and the date 2010 at the bottom, both interspersed among the twelve stars of the European Union. The mint mark letter, one of A, D, F, G, or J denoting the respective German minting facility, is struck to the upper left of the Town Hall within the inner disc. The engraver's initials of Bodo Broschat appear at the very base of the inner disc, immediately below the Roland statue.
