Reverse description The standard European Union common reverse, designed by Luc Luycx, features a relief map of the European continent rendered without national borders, extending beyond the edges of the inner disc into the surrounding ring. The face value '2 EURO' is inscribed to the left of the map within the inner disc, with the designer's initials 'LL' appearing discreetly below. The outer ring displays the twelve stars of the European Union evenly spaced around the circumference, consistent with the standard 2 euro reverse design adopted across all Eurozone member states.
