| Obverse description | The central field depicts the Swan of Tuonela in flight over water, a motif drawn from Finnish mythology and inspired by Akseli Gallen-Kallela's artistic legacy; the water surface below the swan features undulating lines suggesting the passage of a descending spirit. The country identifier 'FI' appears at the right end of the horizon line dividing the central design. In the lower portion of the inner disc, an artist's palette bears the birth year '1865' and the commemorative year '2015', flanked by the mint mark.
