| Reverse description | The reverse features the standard common design for the 2 Euro denomination, depicting a geographic map of the European continent rendered without internal national borders, extending beyond the flan into the surrounding field to emphasise continental unity. The face value '2 EURO' appears to the left of the map, with the engraver's initials 'LL' for Luc Luycx placed at the lower right. The outer ring bears the twelve stars of the European Union arranged in a full circle. |

| Additional information |
Portugal's entry in the pan-European commemorative program marking the 30th anniversary of the flag adopted by the Council of Europe in 1955 — and by the European Communities in 1985. All eurozone members struck their own national version in 2015, producing one of the highest combined mintage events in the history of the euro series. Portugal's issue was produced at INCM's Lisbon facility, one of the older continuously operating mints on the Iberian Peninsula.
