| Obverse description | The central field of the inner disc features a detailed depiction of the Ponte 25 de Abril suspension bridge, rendered in a stylised relief composition. The legend 'PORTUGAL' is inscribed along the upper right portion of the inner disc, while a vertical stack of inscriptions at the lower right reads 'PONTE', '25 DE ABRIL', '1966', and '2016', commemorating the bridge's construction year and the 50th anniversary.
