Slovenia was among the Eurozone's newer members when this commemorative was struck — the country had only adopted the euro in 2007, meaning it was celebrating a monetary anniversary it had participated in for just five of the ten years being honored. All nineteen eurozone states issued a common-design commemorative for this occasion in 2012, with each country's national side remaining distinct.
