| Obverse description | The inner core features a detailed depiction of the Holy Door of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, rendered in fine relief. Arching across the upper field is the Latin legend 'IUBILAEUM', while a series of alternating solid and outline fish — a traditional Christian ichthys symbol — forms a closing arch along the lower border of the core. To the left of the central motif appear the date '2025' and the Rome Mint mark 'R'; to the right, the acronym 'RI' for Repubblica Italiana and the designer's initials 'C.M.' for Claudia Momoni. The twelve stars of the European Union are arranged in an arch along the upper portion of the outer ring. |
