Obverse description	The inner core features an abstract, dynamic design incorporating mathematical symbols, numerals, and integral signs arranged along concentric circular paths, evoking planetary orbits and celestial motion — a visual allusion to the twin fields of mathematics and astronomy in which Josip Plemelj excelled. The legend JOSIP PLEMELJ 1873 appears integrated within the design of the inner core, referencing the mathematician's birth year, while the issuing country name SLOVENIJA and the year of issue 2023 are also inscribed within the field. The composition references elements of the Riemann–Hilbert problem, which Plemelj was the first to solve. The outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union flag.
