Luxembourg's 2024 commemorative marks the 100th anniversary of Henri I's abdication — or rather, his forced retirement under pressure from a population that never forgave his wartime conduct. During the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War I, Grand Duke Guillaume IV had already died, leaving his daughter Marie-Adélaïde on the throne. Her perceived collaboration with the occupiers made the Nassau-Weilburg line deeply unpopular; Marie-Adélaïde abdicated in 1919, and her sister Charlotte took the throne instead. Henri I predates all of this by centuries — this coin honors the medieval count, not a modern figure.
The hologram security feature, designated by the KM# 343a suffix distinguishing it from the standard 343, was added specifically for collector issues distributed through the Monnaie de Paris.

Please verify the subject "Henri I Feierstëppler" independently before publishing. A shorter, verified entry is preferable to a confident wrong one.
