Obverse description
The drawing shows Marconi`s portrait in the center, that of Pope Pius XI on the right and that of the future Pope Pius XII on the left. At top right, in a semicircle, is the inscription `GUGLIELMO MARCONI` and, below it, the dates `1874` and `2024`. At the bottom is the inscription `CITTÀ DEL VATICANO`, followed by the artist`s name `L. PANCOTTO` (Loredana Pancotto). On the left is the mint mark `R`. The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.
