| Reverse description | The common reverse design for the 2 euro cent denomination, designed by Luc Luycx, features the large numeral '2' dominating the left field, with the legend 'EURO CENT' inscribed to the upper right. A globe rendered in relief occupies the lower right, depicting Europe at its centre with lines radiating diagonally across the field to suggest movement and unity. Six stars of the European Union appear along the right outer rim, with a further six along the lower left, together completing the standard EU reverse motif. The engraver's initials 'LL' appear discreetly within the design. |
