| Obverse description | Draped and cuirassed military bust of King Fernando VII facing right, rendered in high relief with finely engraved epaulettes, collar, and decorative order visible on the chest. The effigy occupies the central field, truncated at the shoulder. A continuous Latin legend encircles the portrait reading FERDINAN·VII·D·G·HISP·ET IND·R·, abbreviated for 'Fernando VII, by the Grace of God, King of Spain and the Indies.' The date 1809 appears in the lower exergue, flanked by small pellets, within a beaded border. |
