Obverse description Armored bust of Ferdinand VII facing right, depicted in military dress with epaulette and decorative clasp at the neck, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The portrait shows the young king with curled hair, in the neoclassical style characteristic of early 19th-century Spanish coinage. The circumferential legend reads FERDIN · VII · D · G · HISP · ET IND · R · with the mint date 1808 positioned in the lower exergue area, all separated by raised dots. A fine beaded border runs along the entire rim.
