Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Fernando VII facing right, the hair bound with a ribbon and adorned with a laurel wreath in the neoclassical style. The royal effigy occupies the central field, with fine portrait detail to the facial features and neck truncation. The peripheral legend reading FERDIN•VII•D•G•HISP•ET IND•R• encircles the bust, with the date 1814 placed in the lower exergual area. A beaded border frames the entire design.
