Obverse description Draped and armored bust of King Fernando VI facing right, rendered in high relief with elaborate period wig, occupying the central field. The circumferential legend reads FERDIND•VI•D•G•HISPAN•ETIND•REX, identifying the monarch as King of Spain and the Indies by the Grace of God. The date 1757 appears in the lower field beneath the bust. The rim is defined by a fine milled border consistent with the milled coinage standards of the colonial Mexican mint.
