Obverse description Right-facing draped and armored bust of King Ferdinand VI, rendered in the Baroque style with a full curled wig falling to the shoulders and elaborately detailed lace cravat and armor visible at the truncation. The effigy occupies the central field, with the mint date 1749 positioned in the lower portion of the legend. The circumferential Latin legend reads FERDINANDUS VI D G HISP REX, separated by star stops, and is enclosed within a finely milled border.
