| Obverse description | Right-facing armored bust of Carlos III, struck under the name of Carlos IV, with elaborate curled wig and lace cravat, rendered in the portrait style carried over from the previous reign. The circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading from the lower left and interrupted at top right. The date is positioned in the exergue at the base of the bust, flanked by dots. The milled border frames the entire design. |
