| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Carlos IV facing right, rendered in the neoclassical style. The royal effigy occupies the central field, with the hair tied back in the fashion of the period. The circular legend reads CAROL·IIII·D·G·HISP·ET IND·R·, identifying the monarch as King of Spain and the Indies by the Grace of God.
