Obverse description Draped bust of King Carlos IV facing right, depicted in military dress with elaborately rendered curled hair tied with a ribbon at the nape. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, with fine detail in the portrait's drapery and lace cravat. The circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading from the lower left, with the mint date positioned in the exergue at the bottom of the coin.
