Obverse description Central Jerusalem cross with four arms of equal length dividing the field into quarters, each quarter bearing alternating lions passant guardant and castles, emblems of the kingdoms of León and Castile respectively. The design is executed in the crude, irregular style characteristic of cob (macuquina) coinage struck by hand, with the cross dominating the flan. A partial legend in Latin referencing the royal titulature of Carlos II appears along the periphery, though incompletely struck as typical of this series.

Reverse description Two crowned Pillars of Hercules flanking a central panel divided by a horizontal bar, forming a cross-like arrangement. The assayer initials and denomination numeral appear within the divided field alongside the mint mark. The date is partially visible at the periphery, struck in the irregular cob manner with portions of the design off-flan, as is characteristic of macuquina gold coinage of the Lima mint. The letters P, V, and A are distributed across the reverse field, denoting the Lima mint, the denomination value, and the assayer respectively.
