The shield is surmounted by an elaborate archducal crown and flanked below by two crossed olive branches. The circular legend RESPVBLICA BERNENSIS runs along the periphery, divided by the crown above and the crossed sprigs below. The design is executed in high relief with fine milled edge visible at the coin's border. |
