Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Matthias II facing right, wearing a feathered cap and a heavily ornamented collar with chain, set within a wreath of laurel branches that frames the entire field. The portrait is rendered in high relief with considerable detail in the armor and headdress. No surrounding legend appears on the obverse, the wreath serving as the sole border element.

Reverse description A large imperial crown at the top center, surmounting a laurel wreath that encloses a six-line commemorative inscription in the field. The text records the coronation of Matthias II as King of Bohemia, with the date 23 May 1611 inscribed at the base of the legend.
