Reverse description Crowned coat of arms of Hesse-Darmstadt centrally positioned, surrounded by an arc of six smaller shields arranged in a semicircle, forming a total composition of seven shields. The central shield displays the Hessian lion rampant, while the surrounding shields bear the arms of the various territories under Landgrave dominion. The date 1760 is inscribed in the exergue at the bottom, flanked by the mintmaster's initials A and K to the left and right respectively. The entire design is enclosed within a milled border.
