| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Frederik IV facing right, wearing a mantle clasped at the shoulder and the collar and badge of the Order of the Elephant. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque portrait style typical of early 18th-century Danish coinage. The regnal date appears below the right elbow in the lower field. A Latin legend encircles the bust along the periphery. |
