The effigy displays a prominent laureate wreath and cuirass. The circular Latin legend reads FRIDERIC . D . G . REX . PRVSS . EL . BR . (Frederick, by the Grace of God, King of Prussia, Elector of Brandenburg), separated by stops, running along the milled border.
