Obverse description Right-facing draped and laureate bust of Frederick I, King of Prussia, rendered in high relief with a flowing long wig in the Baroque court style. The portrait displays strong facial modeling typical of late 17th-century German medallic art. The surrounding legend reads FRIDER•PRIMVS•D•G•REX•BORVSSIAE•, identifying the monarch as Frederick I by the grace of God King of Prussia. A toothed (reeded) border frames the entire design.
