| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of Friedrich August I facing right, wearing a flowing curled wig and an electoral crown, holding an upright sword in his right hand, set within a beaded inner circle. The effigy is rendered in high relief with finely detailed armor and lace cravat typical of late 17th-century Baroque portraiture.
