Obverse description Emperor Charles IV enthroned facing front, wearing imperial crown and mantle, holding a scepter in his right hand and an imperial orb in his left, flanked by the finials of the throne. A circular Gothic legend surrounds the central device, separated from it by a beaded inner border. Engraver's initials AP appear in the lower exergue.
