Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Karl Ferdinand Vasa facing left, with long flowing hair and a pointed beard, wearing an elaborately decorated cuirass with a lace collar visible at the neckline. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque manner typical of mid-17th century Silesian coinage. The legend encircles the portrait within a beaded inner circle, reading CAROLVS FERDINAN D G PRIN P ET SV, abbreviating his full title as Prince by the grace of God.
